Today I’m going to teach you how to read a birth chart. By learning more astrology, you’re going to learn more about yourself and the more you know about yourself, you’ll be able to overcome your challenges, you’ll be able to find out what your purpose is, and you’ll be able to find out what the timing of your life are because we are born with a certain chart that has a certain kind of gifts and challenges within it. However, the clock keeps ticking, time keeps revolving around our chart, and every time the transits (you probably heard that word that runs it) are hitting somewhere in our chart, we get windows of opportunities to do certain things at certain times, and these are really really important.
First things first, today I’m going to teach you fundamental astrology, how to look at the chart, what does a chart has, what kind of components, and what do you do with it. So let’s start.
First of all, a chart is a sphere. It contains 360 degrees, so it is a circle. This circle represents the time of your birth and how our sphere Earth was in relationship to other planets in our solar system. The hospital you were born at was right here in the middle, but at that time at the East, wherever that East was, wherever you were born, there was a constellation Rising. That is the East part, and at that moment of your birth, a certain constellation was Rising. So this is called the ascendant. And just across from the ascendant is the descendant. At the same time, there were certain coordinates, right longitude and latitude. So this is the latitude, there was a certain longitude where you were born, and this is called the IC, and this is called the MC. We divide the chart, and no matter what, how system you’re going to use, I use placidus House System, it works for me for many many years, however, choose your house system as you get more deep into astrology, you find out there are many different house systems you’ll choose whatever is good for you, but regardless, we have 12 houses in astrology. Let’s divide this chart into 12, keeping those angles, those are the main angles in astrology, they’re very important, they don’t change with any house system, those stay the same. So you can choose your house system.
Let’s do that. Rough drawing, but still representative of the 12 houses. Some houses in placidus houses are not equal, their degree based that means each one of those lines will have a certain degree on, but we’ll get to it. But no matter what, we have 12 houses so this is house number one, it is starting with the ascendant, this is house number two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, and twelve, twelve houses in a chart.
12 houses in a chart, each house represents a life Department, each house is responsible for certain occurrences in our life. I highly suggest that you read about the houses and see what they represent. As I said, each one of them represents a life Department, so the first one represents your identity, it has many other keywords, please research them identity, money, or self-worth both. Communication, home or security, love, children, work, relationship one-on-one relationship, merging with another, other people’s money, higher education, travel, career, uh goals, wishes, friends, associations, and the subconscious. Each one of the houses has many many keywords. So when when something occurs in a house, we get those keywords and we know that the energy that occurred occurred in this life Department. So if something happens in your 10th house, this is relating to your career versus if the same thing would have happened in your fifth house, this is relating to your love life. So houses are important to know where things.
